The weather recently has been all over the place in Yorkshire! The ‘beast from the east’ struck and we had another flurry of snow in March. For me it was a chance to go out and have fun in the snow.
One of my favourite places in Leeds is Golden Acre Park in Bramhope. If you have never been I highly recommend it for a nice outdoor day out and a stop at their cafe. The extreme weather meant that their lovely lake was frozen over with the ducks a little confused by the situation. The park was very quiet, empty and misty but really beautiful.
With the weather, there wasn’t a chance we weren’t going to take the dog out for a walk and some sledging. I was recently sent the Revlon Colourstay Foundation to put to the test. This weather seemed a perfect test – could it withstand the cold, exercise and mist? The foundation is comfortable and very lightweight.
Designed to stand up to anything life throws your way the Revlon ColorStay Foundation’s certainly demonstrated its’s life-proof staying power! After hours in the snow, the coverage held strong.
Despite its lightweight formula, it can be built up to a high coverage if you are like me and need it. I am wearing shade Ivory 110 for combination/oily skin.
If you are keen to go on a day out the the answer is as simple as a trip to Golden Acre Park! Perfect if you want to spend some quality time together but not at a high cost. This spot has always been a family favourite, there are so many spaces to explore.
The wonderful gardens offer dog-friendly, open green space. Feed the ducks, enjoy their stunning circular lake walk as well as an abundance of nature in all seasons. One of my favourite spots is a squirrel space where you can place a few nuts and after a few minutes see them all come out of hiding.
Call into the popular, newly refurbished tearoom for refreshments or shop selling gifts and plants. A perfect hidden gem of Leeds.
