Susan Miller, the renowned celebrity astrologist, has teamed up with Birchbox for October, bringing four different drawer box designs. This month’s Birchbox packaging takes reference from the astrological elements – Earth, Air, Fire and Water. I received the ‘Air’ design and loved the glow in the dark stars!
If you are a Birchbox subscriber and have set your beauty profile, you will receive a design that fits your star sign. Earth for Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, Air for Gemini, Libra and Aquarius, Fire for Aries, Leo and Sagittarius, Water for Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.
In my Birchbox Air October 2016 UK box, I received six samples, 3 of which were full sized products. The first of the full sized items is the Manefit face mask, RRP £1.99. I love sheet masks; they are my favourite new face mask as they are a no mess, no fuss solution and leave my skin feeling fabulous. The sample I received is the Manefit Beauty Planner Mask in Cucumber Soothing and Moisturising – sounds perfect!
The second full sized product is the Birchbox Eyebrow Brush, again RRP £1.99. It is nothing special and a little on the cheap side, but it will do the job, was a nice little bonus and will always come in handy.
The last, and more exciting, of the full sized products, is the Lord & Berry 20100 Maxi Matte Crayon Lipstick in Intimacy. The RRP is £12.99 and is a perfect product for me; I love a high pigmented, matte, your lips but better shade.
Onto the sample/travel sized items. The first is the Number 4 Fluoro5 Elixer Restore & Repair Oil, RRP £18.40 for 60ml. This sample is 14.8ml so roughly £4.50 despite looking so small. My hair could always do with looking sleeker and shinier, and I am always open to trying more hair oils.
The second sample size is the MONU Professional Skincare MONUSpa Rosewood Reviving Mist, RRP £19.95 for 180ml. The sample in Birchbox is 40ml so roughly £4.40. The mist smells amazing and is refreshing and rejuvenating with its blend of rosewood, lemon and sandalwood.
The final sample is the Aromatherapy Associates Revive Body Gel, RRP £33 for 200ml. The Birchbox sample is 40ml working out at £6.60 worth of product. This body gel is used to increase circulation and eliminate toxins from the system. Using a blend of grapefruit, rosemary and juniper berry essential oils gives the body gel its cleansing and skin toning properties. If you have issues when flying, then this may be useful for maintaining healthy circulation in ankles and legs.
Overall this was a lovely box this month, products totalling a value of roughly £32.50!
