Glasgow summer sessions
This weekend I was given the chance to go to the Glasgow summer sessions with Bose to help judge the fashion festival selfie competition they had running at the event. Three bloggers were judging the competition, myself, Gadgetsboy and Daisybutter. It was such a great opportunity to meet some longer running bloggers and have a great time in and backstage at the festival.
Whilst travelling I took my Bose headphones and I am so happy with them, they are small and compact, perfect for travelling as they fold away into a small carry case. They come in really cute colours and block out the annoying people on the train! I have the on ear headphones in mint green and pale grey.
I did a short vlog whilst in Glasgow, due to the weather and the wind in the microphone it is a lot shorter than it could have been but I hope you enjoy seeing what I got up to and please like and subscribe to my YouTube Channel.
We arrived very early and set up in our little pod getting everything together for when the competition entries started coming in. The rain came down and so did the wind as we waited for them to start letting people in but as soon as people started coming through the gates it brightened up a little and we started getting lots of rainbows. Throughout the day we met lots of lovely people and told them about the Bose selfie competition and how to enter. All they had to do was tweet a selfie with the hashtag #ListenforYourself, you may have seen this on my Twitter. Out of the entries we were to pick 5 each to be shorlisted and from those 15, 7 with the best pose would win some Bose headphones.
We had lots of fabulous competition entries that came through, here are some of the blogger judges own selfies as well as some of my favourites from the day –
The winning selfies were put on the screens at the sides of the stage throughout the festival. Here are our 7 winners from the day, big congratulations for all your awesome selfies! Hope you enjoy your Bose headphones as much as I love mine.
Overall it was a really fun trip and I had such a great time meeting so many awesome people at the event. I travelled with Virgin trains which were so great, clean, spacious and the staff were so nice. Although the train to Glasgow is very winding the views from the train make up for it. Whilst in Glasgow we stayed in the Thistle hotel which I would highly recommend. The room was really nice and the next day we checked out, left our bags securely in the hotel and made full use of their pool, steam room, sauna and hot tub after a cheeky trip to Primark for some swimwear.
