Glo Minerals – Pretty in Pink Blogger Challenge

I was recently asked to take part in the Glo Minerals blogger challenge – ‘Pretty in Pink’. To create a snap looking Pretty in Pink using 3 of the Glo Minerals make up products. Pink is the colour of the season, seen massively on the SS’14 runways ranging from blushing tones to bold fuchsias. Pinks are for everyone this season, not just for the Barbie girly girls, the colour can brighten your whole complexion with an iridescent shimmer, give you a fresh summer complexion or create a daring neon eye colour. Bring on being Pretty in Pink!

I don’t think I have ever used Glo Minerals in the past but was sent to complete this challenge the GloShimmer Brick (Highlight Powder) in GleamEye Shadow Trio in Ballerina and GloLipstick in natural.

Glo Minerals

Glo Mineral was established in 2002 and use only pure pharmaceutical grade minerals and antioxidants chosen by dermatologists. The minerals they use maintain healthy skin as they contain a blend of Vitamin A, C, E and green tea extract. Their range are also paraben, dye and perfume free.

I’m not naturally drawn to pinks, in fact this might be the first pink eye shadow palette I own. I surprised myself how much I loved the eyeshadow palette, mixing the pink with the grey shimmer tone towards the outer of my lid look great, working well together and brightening up my eye area. The grey and pink tones go fantastically and using a lighter pink in the corner of my eyes was a change to the usual black liner! I used a little of the gleam powder on my cheeks, using all 4 shades at once to create a more natural shade with lots of tones rather than if I had used one block colour. It’s fairly shimmery so you can’t use much of it. My favourite product was the natural lipstick. The nude tone had a hint of peach shade to it and gave complimentary pale lips with washing you out or looking unnatural. I loved the Me Me Me Cosmetics pink lipsticks I reviewed recently but this shade was far more neutral.

Have you gone Pink this season?

Very pretty natural looking makeup! You should wear pinks more often although it’s not one of your favorites, but it definitely looks great on you. :)

I’m always too scared to wear too much pink makeup as I always think it will be make me look young! Love this look though, may have to take some inspiration!
