Kylie Jenner, at 18 years old, is taking over the cosmetics world. Already to her name is the self-created Kylie LipKit, she’s the face of Nip + Fab skincare and for NYFW she and sister Kendall launched Kendall + Kylie, a department store apparel line. Her website excitingly renamed from Kylie LipKit to Kylie Cosmetics, and there is now news of her moves into the nail polish world with a Kylie Jenner nail collection.
Later this month, the first of her three limited edition collections will be released under nail polish brand Sinful Colors. The name of the trend, ‘King Kylie Sinful Colors Shine’. Jenner told WWD,
“I love getting my nails done and nails in general…I wanted to do something innovative and accessible to my young fans. The colors are great for all skin tones, too.”
The first release of the Kylie Jenner nail collection will includes ’20 jewel-tone shades’ of SinfulShines’s gel-like formula and the in store displays will mirror the royalty theme. You will be happy to hear that the polishes are priced at $2.99 a bottle, a far cheaper price tag than the LipKit and only $1 more than standard SinfulColors.
With Kylie Jenner making such waves as a beauty influencer and as a nail art and shape trend setter, SinfulColors have chose an incredible celebrity nail collection collaboration. SinfulColors head of marketing Blake Decker said,
“We didn’t want to just put a face on the product. We desired someone with the insight into the category and someone who is a big influencer with Millennials. We decided to dream high; dream big.”
As well as SinfulColors general manager, Rahul Mehrotra, adding,
“We are glad the next product with her name on it is SinfulColors. We think that this collaboration will energize the nail category by driving Millennial traffic to the store.”
