La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Review

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Review

I was really excited to be sent a full tube of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo* to review by Escentual, I received a small sample a while ago and this product really worked for me. I put it on the night before and literally noticed my skin was better the following morning.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo has many features to improve the texture of your skin to make if look softer and clearer from removing dead skin cells, reducing blemish size and preventing future breakouts by unclogging  and purifying your pores. It is a light gel consistency so can be applied both day before make up or at night. It has a pleasant smell unlike a lot of anti-blemish products and is absorbed quickly into the skin leaving no residue.

The product is about £15 which is a bit expensive but compared to other over the counter/high-street blemish products it’s pretty reasonable for the amount you get. Reading other people’s reports on the product they either seem to love it or hate it, you can read La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo reviews here. I’ve loved it and think if you have blemish prone skin then this is worth a try, products like Freederm and Witch Teatree products have had no effect on my skin but I could see a difference in 24 hours with La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo. I have incredibly sensitive skin and haven’t had any issues either, it doesn’t sting it feels more like applying a moisturiser. Now my skins pretty calm and I’m seeing anti-marks results too!

Have you tried  La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo?

Currently trying this stuff. I mostly apply it locally, but even so my skin glows in the morning.

Yup and I love it when it’s that time of the month, it helps my breakouts so much!

The trick with La Roche-Posay is to make sure you’re using the right product for your skin/condition. For me, the Effaclar Duo only made it worse. It kept the breakouts under the skin, made it into painful cystic acne, while Effaclar K brought it to surface and dried it.

I’m still using up the last of my Duo (not the + version) and I’m still undecided…it’s definitely improved skin texture on certain areas of my face but it seems to have aggravated my eczema and made my face quite dry too! Hmmmm, will finish the tube and then decide whether to purchase this version!

I love this product! I’ve repurchased it a couple of times, but I never tried the Duo +, kinda interested in what the difference is compared to the normal one. x:

The best results from this are actually achieved by I using the whole range of this product…. Cleanser, toner, scrub, moisturizer….I got very great results after just one week!

I’m glad you really like the Effaclar Duo! I’ve heard it’s very effective, but it seems to be pricier and harder to get in the US.

I had high expectations of this, and it didn’t disappoint. It has calmed my skin so so much and I couldn’t recommend it more to people with acne prone skin! xx
