Lush Jungle Solid Conditioner Review

As much as I love Lush I hadn’t ever tried any of their shampoos or conditioners until very recently when my Mum picked up one of the Lush Jungle solid conditioners for one of my Christmas presents this year. The fragrance is quite unique but I wasn’t sure how to go about using it. The Lush Jungle solid conditioner is meant to calm your hair, add shine and hydrate it and is applied by being stroked down the hair a few times. lush jungle

Lush Jungle Solid Conditioner Review

For me I found that it smells a little leafy, some of the ingredients in it are fresh avocado, fresh figs, fresh passion fruit, fresh kumquat, ylang ylang oil, vetivert oil, cypress oil and cedarwood oil. The Lush jungle has a cocoa butter base, with mashed fresh bananas and avocados to help condition. The solid conditioner is naked and self-preserving, I have used it for a few weeks now and left it out in between showers and had no issues with it drying out.

The main issue I have had with this conditioner is that it doesn’t act in any way like a regular conditioner. It doesn’t lather up or make my hair feel softer when I first apply it. If anything it makes my long thick hair more knotty so at first I ended up applying far too much product. The conditioning comes after and once my hair has dried it does feel very soft and a little less fly away.

I cannot say that this is my favourite of Lush’s products but I am a new fan of their solid conditioners and cannot wait to give more of their range a go!

Are you a fan of the Lush hair care, shampoo’s and conditioners? Which products would you recommend that I try next?

I’ve used this too and I’m not a huge fan. Like you, I found it hard to tell how much to use and ended up using way too much and it left my hair feeling waxy. I’ve also found that as you use it and it gets smaller, it seems to almost start to melt and goes quite mushy which makes it hard to use.

Apparently if your hair is coarse and dry, their Brazilliant solid shampoo is meant to be amazing. Going to pick it up today and see how it goes! x

I have never tried a solid conditioner before! This looks really interesting and by the sounds of it does what it says on the tin. Will have to give this a try!!

Interesting! I’ve only ever tried lush bath bombs, but this seems like a cool concept. I use a ton of conditioner on my hair since ts so long so Id be curious to try this out!

Solid conditioner is such a strange concept! I think I’d rather something that feels conditioning when I use it as well as after :)

I have one of these bars. A different one than Jungle though. I found it hard to find a nice smelling conditioner the way I like their shampoos. I like to apply it & have it sit in my hair (while I shave my legs etc) & find it doesn’t tangle but actually comes out smoother. Give it a try that way & see if you find a difference.

Interesting post! Few months ago I was looking up at their solid shampoos but I changed my mind after thinking how I will store it while not using. It’s a very strange concept by stroking solid conditioner into your hair and I don’t think I’m ready for it. I like my liquid shampoos and conditioners lol
