Slimming World Hummus

slimming world hummus

This Slimming World hummus is so easy to make, incredibly quick to put together and best of all it is completely syn free. I really missed dips and hummus when I joined Slimming World and this is a great substitute for the real thing, not 100%, but close enough.

For my Slimming World Hummus you will need these ingredients –

  • A tin of chick peas
  • A lemon or lemon juice
  • Fat free natural yoghurt
  • Paprika
  • Salt
  • Pepper

You will also need some sort of food blender, I used my Bosch MSM6300GB Hand Blender.

Preparation time – 1-2 mins (if that)

Start by draining your chick peas and put them into your blender, then add the juice of half a lemon. The lemon can be a little overpowering so add a little to start and more to taste after it has been blended. If you don’t have and fresh lemons just add a little lemon juice instead.

Blend for a few seconds, not too long as we still want to have quite a bit of texture from the chick peas.

Once blended add a pinch of salt…

A Dash of pepper…

And just a Tad of paprika…

Taste and add lemon juice, pepper, salt and paprika until you are happy with it.

And that is your Slimming World Hummus done, enjoy with some carrot sticks or cucumber. It’s one of my favourite Slimming World snacks. To serve I sprinkle a little paprika on the top for presentation.

Your Slimming World hummus should last for around 3 days if kept in the fridge and covered with cling film.

This is an amazing idea! I love hummus but after trying to make traditional hummus myself it made me realise that it wasn’t as virtuous as I’d thought! X

At what stage is the yoghurt added? I don’t think it’s mentioned in the method, or I’m going mad…which is possible!
