Lidl Lush Dupes – Are These £1.59 Shower Gels Just as Good?

If you love the scent of a Lush store but hate the dent it leaves in your bank balance, Lidl’s latest beauty launch might just be your new obsession. The budget supermarket has released a Deluxe shower gel collection that looks, feels, and smells like it could be sitting proudly on Lush’s shelves – but costs less than your morning coffee.

I spotted these in my local store and immediately grabbed all four scents: Mintilicious Tingle, Relax, Dizzy Rose, and Honey I’m Home. At only £1.59 each (usually £1.99) for a 500ml bottle, compared to £26 for the same size from Lush, they’re an absolute steal. And the best bit? They’re all vegan and cruelty-free – something even Lush can’t say for all their products, as their popular Honey I Washed the Kids shower gel isn’t vegan.

Let’s dive into why these Lidl dupes are taking social media by storm and how they compare to the Lush originals.

A Closer Look at the Four Lidl Lush Dupes

1. Dizzy Rose – The Rose Jam Dupe

If you’re a fan of Lush’s cult classic Rose Jam, you need to try Dizzy Rose. It’s sweet, floral, and oh-so-luxurious, with a scent that feels almost identical to the original. I’d go as far as to say this is one of the closest matches in the range – rich, warm, and perfect for a pampering shower.

2. Mintilicious Tingle – The Dirty/Intergalactic Vibes

Love that fresh, minty wake-up call you get from Lush’s Dirty Springwash? Mintilicious Tingle nails it. It has that cool, tingling sensation that’s perfect for morning showers or after the gym. While it doesn’t have the sparkle of Lush’s Intergalactic bath bomb range, the scent and lather are spot-on.

3. Relax – A Nod to Sleepy

Lavender lovers, this one’s for you. Relax smells very similar to Lush’s Sleepy shower gel, with soft, calming lavender and oat undertones. It’s soothing, perfect before bed, and lathers into a creamy foam that feels a lot more expensive than it is.

4. Honey I’m Home – A Vegan Twist on Honey I Washed the Kids

This one was a bit of a surprise – Honey I Washed the Kids is a Lush favourite, but it isn’t vegan. Lidl’s version gives you that same warm, sweet, honeyed scent (with a hint of fruitiness), but in a vegan formula. It’s comforting, creamy, and makes bath time feel like a treat.

Packaging and Formula

Lidl has gone for clear 500ml bottles with sleek black labels, giving these a premium look that’s hard to believe costs less than £2. The gels themselves are thick, smooth, and lather beautifully. In the shower, a little goes a long way – plus they work pretty well as bubble bath.

Ingredient-wise, they’re not as stripped-back as Lush products, but they’re still cruelty-free and feel gentle on the skin. I haven’t noticed any irritation or dryness after using them and their fragrance isnt overpowering.

How Do They Compare to Lush?

Let’s be honest – Lush is known for its strong, natural fragrances and eco ethos. While I can tell the difference between the two if I’m paying attention, the Lidl versions are surprisingly close for the price.

For me, Dizzy Rose is the strongest Lidl Lush dupes, while Mintilicious Tingle is a refreshing, fun alternative to Dirty Springwash. Honey I’m Home might not have the exact same depth as Lush’s honey products, but for a vegan dupe, it’s fantastic.

Why Lidl’s Dupes Are Worth It

  • Incredible price point: £1.59 vs £26 – you could buy all four and still be under a tenner.
  • Vegan and cruelty-free: A big win, especially with Honey I’m Home.
  • Smells just as luxe: The fragrances isn’t as strong but does linger on the skin and feel indulgent.
  • Perfect stocking fillers or gifts: These would make a great self-care bundle for Christmas or birthdays.

TikTok Made Me Do It…

Like many others, I saw these blowing up on TikTok and couldn’t resist. The “run, don’t walk” hype is real – these shower gels sell out fast. I picked mine up in Lidl Bridlington, but stock levels vary, so if you spot them, grab them while you can. Honey I’m Home has a reputation for selling out instantly.

Strike A Pose Verdict

These Lidl shower gels are absolute winners. For the price, scent, and feel, they’re worth every penny. While Lush still holds top place in my heart (and bathroom), I’ll happily use these as everyday shower gels and save my Lush splurges for special occasions.

Would I recommend them? Absolutely. Whether you’re a Lush devotee or just love a good-smelling bargain, these Lidl Lush dupes are too good to miss.
