L’Oreal Infallible Matte Max Lip Pens

In a recent post I shared with you the latest L’Oreal release, their L’Oreal Infallible Sculpt Collection Launch. This launch is dedicated soley to contouring and I knew the items I wanted to try out the most were the L’Oreal Infallible Matte Max Lip Pens as they looked very unique.

Superdrug only had in stock 4 out of the 6 shades and I picked up 001 Silencio, a nice nude peach and 004, Oops I Pink it Again, a vibrant berry.

The shades I didn’t pick up were 002 Like A Virgin which was too pink for me as well as the orange red shade 006 Disturbia.

The L’Oreal Infallible Matte Max Lip Pens are quite unusual in that the product is in the lid, it is a cream to powder formula and the product is applied using a tapered sponge.

The finish on the lips is quite velvety and gives a faded result with no harsh, defined lip line. The L’Oreal Infallible Matte Max Lip Pens last a long time but do transfer and don’t hold up against food, but they fade subtly and naturally. They aren’t drying on the lips like a lot of matte products can be.

I really like the results, it feels more like a matte lip stain as it is so light on your lips. It is quite hard to build up a solid colour and get defined lips but perfect if you are going for an on trend faded lip or an ombre effect.

I think I’d prefer a bolder finish, but these shades do look gorgeous on you so it might still be worth picking a couple of these up :)

I’ve been so intrigued by these because the applicators look so unusual! I really like the finish though – looks fantastic on you!

I’ve been so interested in these due to how strange the concept is! The nude is such a lovely colour. x

I’ve never seen anything like this before but I really like the idea. Shade 001 is perfect!
