Make Up Palette Review – Look Beauty Mini Makeover Palette Baby Blue Eyes

A while ago whilst in Superdrug  I came across this lovely little make up palette, Look Beauty Mini Makeover Palette for baby blue eyes. You can find the other eye make up and palettes I’ve reviewed here. Look Beauty are the cosmetic range from Look magazine so I was keen to see what their range was like. I thought it was a really great size, it fits in the palm of your hand and is a brilliant compact for your handbag. It contains a mirror, 8 eyeshadows, 4  lip colours and 1 blusher, a perfect little kit for on the go.

I love the eye shadow shades in this palette, I always love make up palettes that are themed around your colouring or complexion. This make up palette aims to contrasts your blue eyes with copper and orange tones to highlight them. There are some more intense, dark and shimmery evening shades as well.

The lower draw of the make up palette has a light, natural looking peach, pink blusher. I like the blusher but it has a shimmer to it, I’m not overly keen on shimmery blushers and I would prefer if the shimmer was a little less obvious. It also has 4 lipstick tones, a deep red, light coral, pale baby pink and a brown tinted nude tone.

Down points of the Mini Makeover Palette are the lack of any tools to apply the products, no sponges or brushes that can fit in the make up palette. This is a credit card sized compact product though and I am glad it was kept small. The make up palette applies well and is fairly long lasting with the shades really working well with blue eyes. The lip shades are really moisturising and apply like a lip balm, giving you the colour without the heaviness of lipstick. There are also shades for green and brown eyes that are linked below.
