42 pressed Roam New York Candle

I always love receiving candles and have so many dotted around my house. I have shared candles on Strikeapose plenty of times before and today I am sharing with you the New York notes candle from Roam by 42 pressed.

Their idea is a modern approach to travel accessories and includes in their items both scented candles and map prints from cities around the world. The city candle scents available are London, Paris, New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Charleston. These candles were all inspired by exploring cities around the US and now the World, their scents containing distinctive notes that capture the essence of that City.

I received 42 pressed New York notes, a combination of amber, birch, mineral and patchouli. The scent is magnificent and very strong. A pungent scent for a little jar! The candles are hand poured in Charleston, South Carolina and have a burn time of 45 hours. They use 100% natural soy wax and pure cotton wicks in the candles.

For me, the scent is amazing, one of the nicest smelling candles I have had in a long time. But for me what really makes this candle is the packaging. There are so many little details on the sleek white, black and rose gold exterior. From the longitude and latitude, New York coordinates to an explanation on the scent combination –

‘Surface from the tunnel to find the warm aromas of amber and smokey birch. Stroll down fifth avenue and feel the presence of mineral all around. Find peace in the bright green oasis of central park with the lingering trace of patchouli.’

New York is on my bucket list and as I love to travel and explore this candle makes me happy. Such a wonderful well thought out little gift for any travel lovers or those with a touch of wanderlust!
