I mentioned the WAH Nails pop up shop in my recent post when I visited the Lamberts Yard opening event but recently went back for a full manicure. The first design I had was 4 plain nails and one feature nail. The design was using all their polishes an worked so well in greens, silvers, grey and white. These nails took around 30 minutes and the polishes I have on are the Building Blocks Basecoat, Expensive Taste, Biters Beware, Your love is One, Y2K Mirror Shine and Classy Glassy Glossy Topcoat.
I went back to the pop up shop to experience their full nail art manicure and chose the houndstooth design. This design looks stunning, it is so intricate and perfectly done, although it did take an hour and a half to complete. I love the lilac background and seeing how the nail art was achieved I will be having to have a go at recreating it myself. Nail polishes on my Houndstooth design nails are – Building Blocks Basecoat, Mating Surfaces, Heart of Darkness, Black Nail Art Pen and Classy Glassy Glossy Topcoat.
The WAH London products are stocked in Boots and include nail polishes, nail art pens, press on nails, trend kits and nail tools. Their products, like their manicures were a little pricey but were for me very good quality. I really want to try the press on nails, the designs are a little more edgy and different than other false nails out there.
If I was going to buy any of their products though it would have to be their books which explain step by step how to create 25 different nail designs, including the houndstooth design I had. Their books are The WAH Nails Book of Downtown Girls and The WAH Nails Book of Nail Art. If you or anyone you know are wanting to get into or improve their nail art these books are great and would make awesome gifts.
You can either pop in to Lamberts Yard for some unique nail art if you are in Leeds or keep an eye out for their products at Boots
